This long-proven beginning recorder book lets young people LEARN music by PLAYING music. The secret in the special notation which students can read independently. Students frequently choose to buy their own books so they can practice at home. This way they quickly achieve competency on recorders while sharing songs with families and friends in sing-alongs and play-alongs.
The special Peg Hoenack LETTER NOTATION shows visually:

  • RHYTHM with equal space for each beat
  • METER with beats grouped into measures
